Sponsors and Clinical Research Organizations

Why CHCRC and Community-Based Research Sites Are a Strategic Advantage for Pharma Sponsors and CRO Partners

Across the clinical research industry, sponsors and CROs are increasingly seeking faster activation timelines, reliable enrollment, operational consistency, and access to diverse patient populations. Yet the traditional site-by-site model often creates operational friction—multiple contracts, separate budgets, inconsistent start-up timelines, and uneven site performance.

At Community Health Clinical Research Corporation (CHCRC), we are addressing these challenges by building a coordinated national network of Community Health Center research sites designed specifically to simplify how sponsors and CROs conduct clinical trials.

Today, CHCRC has more than 30 active research sites, with additional centers joining through our 100-Site Pilot Program now underway. In the near future, our expansion strategy is expected to grow this network into hundreds of community-based research sites across the United States.

For sponsors and CRO partners, this model delivers a fundamentally different experience.

Instead of negotiating and managing dozens of independent sites, CHCRC provides a centralized Site Management Organization (SMO) structure that dramatically simplifies study start-up and operational oversight.

Key advantages include:

• One contract covering the entire network
• One budget structure rather than site-by-site negotiations
• Approval timelines measured in days rather than weeks or months
• Rapid site deployment through centralized operational infrastructure
• Central Institutional Review Board (IRB) oversight for consistent regulatory governance
• Central laboratory partnerships ensuring standardized specimen handling and biomarker analysis
• A unified Electronic Data Capture (EDC) platform for consistent data collection and reduced protocol deviations
• Standardized source documentation across participating sites
• Centralized training programs for investigators and clinical research coordinators
• Integrated regulatory and quality assurance oversight
• Remote, real-time monitoring capabilities across the entire network
• Single invoicing and payment structure simplifying sponsor financial management

Equally important is the patient population served by Community Health Centers.

These centers care for millions of patients across urban, rural, and medically underserved communities—providing access to one of the most diverse and clinically relevant patient populations in the United States. As CHCRC expands its network, sponsors and CRO partners gain access to a rapidly growing, community-based research infrastructure capable of supporting large-scale enrollment and pragmatic clinical trials in real-world care settings.

Our mission goes beyond operational efficiency.

CHCRC was built to redirect a portion of the private clinical research economy into America’s public healthcare safety-net, creating sustainable revenue streams for Community Health Centers while expanding patient access to innovative therapies and medical technologies.

As our network continues to grow—from 30 sites today, to 100 sites in the near term, and hundreds in the years ahead—we believe CHCRC will become an essential partner for sponsors and CROs seeking efficient trial execution, reliable enrollment, and meaningful community engagement.

The future of clinical research will not be confined to academic centers alone. It will be built within the communities where patients live, receive care, and place their trust in their healthcare providers. CHCRC is helping make that future possible.
